Abstract

The white sponge nevus was first described by Canonn in 1935. This lesion affected the oral mucous membrane, vagina, and rectal mucosa. In Japanese literature, only 6 cases were reported.
It is said that this disease is caused by an autosomal dominant gene trait?
Histological appearance demonstrated vacuolation in the epithelial layer and epithelial hyperplasia. There was no evidence of dysplasia or malignancy of epithelium. The 7th case in Japan was reported herein.
