Abstract

There are approximately 270 species of the genus Gladiolus in the world, the majority of which are found in Africa. There are a total of 15 species, 10 of which can only be found in Türkiye. In the palynological studies of Gladiolus anatolicus. In the context of palynological investigations on G. anatolicus, microscopic examination was conducted to capture images of pollen. Subsequently, various morphological parameters including exine, intine, colpus, and P/E were measured. To analyze the surface ornamentation of pollen, a scanning electron microscope (SEM) was employed, revealing that the species exhibited microechinate perforate pollen surface ornamentation.
