This paper presents a method of the mesurement of the permeability of soil, in the field below a water table, involving a minimum of soil disturbance. The procedures are presented for determining the permeability of unconfined aquifers with a observation well.
These procedures are evaluated as Auger hole method, piezometer method which are the methods form the rate of rise of the water level in the well after a certain volume of water is suddenly removed.
And alse in this paper, we treat the packer method, which is the steady state method, with a observation well. Furthermore, empirical equationsresulthing R to the geometry of the well and, aquifer was discussed with the numerical simulation for a wide range of system geometries.
From this study, we conclude that piezometer method should be used only for the slug test. Dagan's formula, or the table and packer method, we give should be used otherwise for the permeability test in-situ with obserbation well.
