A statistical investigation was carried out on 30 patients with throat paresthesia treated with surgical resection of thyroid tumor. There were 3 men and 27 women, most of them between 40 and 49 years of age, who complained of pain and constriction of the throat. The reduction of throat paresthesia was closely related to the interval since thyroid surgery but not to any other factors.
