With the current worldwide trend of increasing individual car traffic in the urban road network, sustainable transport has become one of the key issues for the sustainable future of transport in cities. In fact, most of the journeys in the urban area are on shorter distances where we can substitute the car very easily. The contribution deals with the current state, after two months from the first appearance of shared e-scooters in the capital of Slovakia - Bratislava. We analysed the shared e-scooters from a mobility point of view. The main issue will the analysis of accessibility in the city with another alternative transport device in the city of Bratislava. The goal is to determine the isochrones and compared it with other modes of transport in cities like pedestrians and cyclists using shared bikes and others. The evaluation will be oriented to comparing the accessibility between time and distance in the street network. The important value will be shown in some examples of the PT-stops in Bratislava. According to discovered data, we made the S.W.O.T. analysis which could help us to know the position of e-scooters in a modal-split in modern cities.
Although the e-scooter tend to be a transport solution with huge potential, especially in overcrowded cities with increasing individual car traffic, it is necessary to solve the several legislative issues, which should ensure to e-scooters to be not just fast and cheap way to move in a city, but on the first place to be a safe way to move in a city for the e-scooter drivers as well as for people in their surroundings.
