Based on an analytical model suggested in Ref . 1 and by considering corresponding experimental investigations shown in Ref. 2, a wind load model for tall buildings with rectangular cross sections is worked out. This model is implemented in a computer code to determine statistical response quantities of wind loaded structures (Ref. 3). The procedure suggested will be tested in a short example and the results compared with corresponding wind tunnel tests shown in Ref. 4.
