A CRITICAL APPROACH TO WORKPLACE SPIRITUALITY IN THE CONTEXT OF SPIRITUAL BYPASS

Öz

This study aims to present a critique of workplace spirituality within the scope of spiritual bypass. The concept of spiritual bypass, which consists of spiritualization and psychological avoidance dimensions, can be defined as the individual's hiding behind spiritual practices by escaping from facing his problems. In the study, the spiritual bypass was analyzed with a systematic literature review, and it was seen that it had individual antecedents such as personality traits, and situational antecedents such as negative life experiences, culture, and family. In addition to this, the relationship of the spiritual bypass with individual, social and societal problems has been determined. It is predicted that spiritual practices that are decontextualized and the perspective that ignores the other needs of the individual can create a spiritual bypass.

İŞYERİ MANEVİYATINA MANEVİ GEÇİŞTİRME KAPSAMINDA ELEŞTİREL BİR YAKLAŞIM

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı işyeri maneviyatına yönelik manevi geçiştirme kapsamında bir eleştiri sunmaktır. Manevileştirme ve psikolojik kaçınma boyutlarından oluşan manevi geçiştirme kavramı bireyin sorunlarıyla yüzleşmekten kaçarak manevi uygulamaların arkasına sığınması şeklinde tanımlanabilir. Çalışmada manevi geçiştirme sistematik literatür taraması ile analiz edilmiş, kişilik özellikleri gibi bireysel öncülleri ve olumsuz yaşam deneyimleri, kültür, aile gibi durumsal öncülleri olduğu görülmüştür. Bununla birlikte manevi geçiştirmenin bireysel, sosyal ve toplumsal sorunlarla ilişkisi tespit edilmiştir. Bağlamından koparılmış manevi uygulamaların ve bireyin diğer ihtiyaçlarını göz ardı eden bakış açısının manevi geçiştirme oluşturabileceği tahmin edilmektedir. İşyeri maneviyatını geliştirmeye yönelik uygulamaların çalışana ve örgüte fayda sağlayacak biçimde bütüncül bir yaklaşımla gerçekleştirilmesi önerilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın manevi geçiştirme konusunda ilk Türkçe araştırma olması açısından literatüre katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.
