This collection comprises images, site records and reports from an Analytical Buildings Record (Level 3) at Block A, Kingsmead School, Hartswell, Wiveliscombe, Somerset West and Taunton, Somerset, England, United Kingdom. This work was undertaken by Bristol & Bath Heritage Consultancy Ltd 28th to 29th July 2022.

The recording comprised a primarily photographic record and inspection of Block A, Kingsmead School, which was compiled shortly before demolition, and an analysis of the chronological development of the building, using map and documentary evidence in combination with the photographic record and observations made during the building inspection. Kingsmead Secondary Modern School was completed in 1953 in accordance with plans drawn up by the Somerset County Architect R.O. Harris, with subsequent additions in the late 20th and early 21st-century. The school's design was influenced by that of the Cambridgeshire Village Community Schools promoted by that county's Chief Education Officer, Henry Morris, in the 1920s and 30s.
