Abstract:		 A series of archaeological and geo-archaeological excavations, evaluations and assessments were undertaken in advance of residential development at the site of the 'Cop', an 18th century embankment constructed as part of the canalisation of the river Dee. Five phases of activity associated with the development of the riverside area and the Cop were identified. The two remaining standing structures at the site, both of the 19th century, were investigated prior to their demolition. Au/LD
