Abstract:
A watching brief was undertaken during topsoil stripping of a proposed quarry extension. The site lay in close proximity to to a Scheduled Ancient Monument believed to be the remains of a Roman temporary marching camp. The features observed revealed nothing to suggest the survival of any significant archaeology. [Au(abr)]
