Abstract: |
Trent and Peak Archaeology was commissioned by Anglian Water, to carry out archaeological monitoring and recording on the works taking place to install new balance tanks to an existing water balancing plant on the outskirts of Kirby cum Osgodby. The area monitored for the installation of a balance tank at Kirkby cum Osgodby contained a thick deposit of made ground (imported topsoil) overlying a buried topsoil which was devoid of archaeological finds. Machine removal of these deposits revealed no archaeological features or buried stratigraphic horizons of interest. |
