Abstract:		 A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken on a small development at Riverside Nursery, Bisham, Berkshire in January 2011. Observation of excavations for the foundations and service trenches established that the new development was built on river alluvium within the floodplain of the river Thames. There was no evidence of human activity or occupation before the modern period.
