In this article, Oomen responds to Walsh’s call to decenter science in climate-change communication. While recognizing how science has historically served power and been implicated in extractivist policies, Oomen argues for its continued usefulness as a systematic way of understanding the world and its capacity to act as an honest broker between different political positions.
