Korbinian Brodmann was a German scientist who lived between 1868-1918 and had many studies in fields related to psychiatry, physiology, zoology and anthropology. With Brodmann's observations in the gray matter of the brain, cortical areas divided into numbers by consideration of number of cell layers, cellular morphology, distribution of dendritic connections, and presentation of neuronal types. He left his mark on neuroscience with Brodman's atlas, which is used to mapping the cerebral cortex by enumerate and still in use today. The aim of this study is to present Korbinian Brodmann's Contributions to Neuroscience and Cerebral Cortex Localization studies with a literature review.
