Abstract

To searh the aesthetical relations of woman's face and neck's form with clothing collar's type, six face's pattern were chosen (figure, oval, ovoid, ovoidinverse, square and lozenge), in order to associate them with five neck's form, drawing up thirty basic patterns for the purpose of this study.
A questionnaire was elaborated in order to detect the compatibility of the most fundamental U collar's type and four boatneck collar's type, combined with patterns mentioned above.
The results were analysed employing Sensory Evaluation Methods. The mutual relations between the collar's type, face and neck's form were highly correlated in oval form and lowest in the square form. Besides, the tendency of fitness were lowest in both U and boatneck form, that crossed the fossa jugularis point.
In this step of our study, a valiable clues were gotten for further considerations, with that we intend to increase our development with inclusion of new elements.
