Abstract

The legislative proposal for the establishment of the European Single Access Point (ESAP) is part of the Capital Markets Union package of 25.11.2021. The aim is to make publicly available financial, sustainability and other types of information from market participants centrally accessible on ESAP, so that information can be used more easily and efficiently. The ESAP aims to make company information more visible to investors, consumers, public authorities, data service providers and other stakeholders inside and outside the EU in order to facilitate their access to capital. The following article focuses on the basic recommendation of the High Level Forum on the Capital Markets Union and the subsequent Commission‘s proposal.
