This paper describes a study on the development of continuous measuring system of the solute component, which can measure quantity of urea nitrogen shift inside the whole dialysate waste fluid.
The solute removal rate is used as an index of the curative effect of the dialysate treatment. The removal rate is evaluated by the blood test result before and after treatment. However, it is not realistic to grasp a blood solute removal change during treatment in real time. There are two main characteristics in this system. Firstly, it can continuously measure the quantity of urea nitrogen shift inside the whole dialysate waste fluid. Secondly, it is useful to determine the target of blood solute removal level and evaluate the level of achievement of dialysis treatment. PH based electrode was used to measure the urea nitrogen in whole dialysate waste fluid. Because pH and urea nitrogen reacted with urease.
As a result, it was confirmed to measure urea nitrogen consecutively during dialysis. Urea nitrogen total removal quantity at the same moment. Data gained from above seems that it is possible to indicate the appropriate dialysis quantity for efficient treatment. It is expected to utilize for the solute removal navigation.
