Submarine Maximum Speed's Influence on the Effect of Evading an Incoming Torpedo

Article Preview

Abstract:

Based on the need for Vmax design of a diesel submarine, and by means of scenarios description of situations among an air-dropped torpedo, a submarine and the torpedo countermeasure system and models construction, the probability of survival under different submarine speeds was simulated and analyzed, the function between the probability of survival and the submarine Vmax was provided, and the Vmaxs influence on the effect of evading an incoming torpedo and the Vmax a diesel submarine should have were also determined.
