Selecting Service Suppliers in Construction Supply Chains with a Critical Chain Model

Article Preview

Abstract:

This paper considers the service supplier selection problem in a construction project consisting of multiple tasks, wherein there are several alternative suppliers bidding for each task. Due to the extensive varieties among the suppliers, the right ones should be chosen for each task to achieve the management objectives. With a critical chain model we proposed from the entire construction supply chains view, we derive the effective managerial implications to guide the service supplier selection, as well as the construction supply chain management in monitoring and controlling the project duration.
