Abstract

Hemangioma of the mediastimum is very rare.
in a 71-year-old man who had complained of hoarseness, rcentgenogram and computerized tomogram revealed a tumor of the right superior-posterior mediastinum. He underwent extirpation of the tumor through right thoracotomy. No major vascular connections between the tumor and major vessels were found. Histological examination, however, revealed cavernous hemangioma.
