Abstract

The study aims to identify the relationship between peer-to-peer social support and self-efficacy against
the anxiety facing the exam in XI class SMAN 53 Jakarta students. There were three variables used in this study,
namely peer-to-peer social support, self-efficiency and anxiety facing the test. Samples taken from 153 students at
SMAN 53 Jakarta tested the application Sample Size Calculator with a 5% error rate. The data is collected using
the Likert scale. The results of the test of the hypothesis showed that there was a significant negatively directed
relationship between peer-to-peer social support and self-efficacy against anxiety facing the test with a
correlation coefficient value (rx₁y) of -0,193 and p = 0,017 < 0,05, whereas rx₂y was -0,166 and p=0,041 <0,05.
The test results of the hypothesis that combined peer-to-peer social support and self-efficiency against anxiety
facing the test showed a significant relationship with the correlation coefficient value (R) of 0.251 and R² of 0.063
with p = 0.008 < 0.05. It concluded that there was a significant relationship between peer-to-peer social support
and self-efficacy against the anxiety facing the exam in XI grade SMAN 53 Jakarta students.
