Abstract Gender-based violence against women is a pervasive global issue with profound psychological and sociological implications. This theoretical research paper delves into the complex nexus of gender-based violence by examining the psychological and sociological factors contributing to its occurrence and persistence in India. Drawing upon existing literature and theories, this study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted nature of crimes against women, shedding light on the interplay between individual and societal factors.
