Abstract

SSumberejo is one of the villages in Batu City which has potential in the agricultural sector. Around 2020 it was announced as a tourist village picking vegetables. To accommodate and facilitate the activities of farmers, a Barokah Village Owned Enterprise (Bumdes) was formed. The increasing demand for vegetables in the market demands that agricultural production must also be increased. Consequently, the need for fertilizer will increase. During this time mostly use chemical fertilizers and in a long time. This will cause an imbalance of nutrients in the soil. For this reason, an action is needed to find a solution to improve nutrients in the agricultural land. One of them is utilizing vegetable waste and other organic waste as material for making liquid organic fertilizer. This training involved 12 students who were involved in the Community Service 2022 program. Where they will provide training stages starting from providing training materials and hands-on practice in making liquid organic fertilizer (POC). POC is made from vegetable waste, cheese waste (whey) and bioactivator (Molika) and a bucket with a capacity of 20 L. This training was attended by 15 Bumdes members, 3 field assistant lecturers. The result of this training activity is an increase in the knowledge and skills of Bumdes members to utilize vegetable waste to make liquid organic fertilizer
