Abstract

The Andalusian city of Qijata is located to the east of Koura Gian, and it is one of its works. It was distinguished by the abundance of forests whose wood is used in household industries, from which it is exported to parts of Andalusia and Morocco. It was conquered by Muslims led by Tariq bin Ziyad in the year 92 AH / 710 AD. Many Arab tribes inhabited it. Its people were present in some of the events of Andalusia until its fall into the hands of the Christians of Castile in the year 622 AH / 1225 AD after the Muslims ruled it for more than five centuries. Its people also contributed to building the Islamic civilization in Andalusia in various fields, and enriched the intellectual movement in it, especially in the sciences of the Qur’an, Hadith, language and literature. Many of them deserved scholars whose works the Arab Islamic Library is proud of so far.
