Types of Druce, 1907, invalidated : Thecla calor-, T. coûter ; T. rugatus; T. petaurisier ; T. torqueor; T. venustus. Type locality identified : for Polyommatus hugon Godart, 1 824, "Central America".
The types of neotropical Theclinae deposited in the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle, Paris (MNHN), have been the subject of the seminal study of JOHNSON (1991a), after several visits of the laboratory of Entomology he made in 1981, 1985, 1987 and 1989. Johnson could present a review of all the Neotropical eumaeine type material he located.
The largest part of the type material Johnson documented was curated in the Fournier collection, where the type specimens were marked with a special small oblong label printed "Type". Most of these specimens represent nominal taxa proposed by Percy I. Lathy (1870-1943), but certain specimens were attributed to William Chapman Hewitson (1806-1878),
