Effective hard-axis permeability, effective anisotropy field and ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) frequency of soft magnetic thin films were simulated assuming that the films are applied narrow slits along the easy axis direction. A design chart of the slits was developed based on a static two-dimensional finite element method (FEM) simulation. The critical trade-off between low frequency permeability and FMR frequency is also discussed for a maximum possible saturation magnetization of 2.45 T. This idea is quite useful for soft magnetic applications in a GHz frequency range.
