A New Mass-Energy Equivalence from Lorentz Factor and Energy of Motion

Abstract

The velocity of a moving object with its non-zero mass is less than the speed of light because light has no mass and the speed of light is the upper limit for the speeds of all objects in the universe. In this article, a new mass-energy equation is derived using the Lorentz factor and the energy of motion, also known as the kinetic energy, defined in classical mechanics.
