Abstract

The theory of progress that I propose distinguishes two types of revolutions – the peasant and colour revolutions. These two types of revolutions are very different in how the revolutionary process proceeds and how it ends. The difference between these types of revolutions is determined by the society in which the revolution takes place. If a revolution happens in a pre-industrial society, then it is a peasant revolution. If the revolution takes place in an industrial society, then this is a colour revolution. This article presents facts that indicate that there is a high probability of a peasant revolution in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
