Alternative versions of school plans and samples of elementary word-formation analysis

Abstract

The article reveals the problem of excessive variability of plans and samples of elementary word-formation analysis, due to the absence of a typical plan and alternative variants of plans and corresponding samples. The paper gives a positive-critical analysis of all plans and samples presented without alternative in Russian language textbooks for grades 5—6 of a general education school in 1974—2022. The main and additional variants of written analysis are revealed as ways of a brief verbal-graphic fixation of its results. A uniformly structured (introduction, main part, conclusion) and terminologically simplified typical plan of elementary word-formation analysis has been compiled — in nominative and procedural versions. This plan includes a new item — compiling a word-formation pair and identifying the composition of the compared words. To specify the standard plan, alternative plans have been developed that reflect the specifics of the word-formation analysis of simple and complex derivative words formed from one or more words. Corresponding examples of complete and brief word-formation analysis in oral and written forms are suggested.
