Abstract

The article analyzes the documents dedicated to the arsenal of the Dalmatovo Dormition Monastery. From the moment of its inception until the 30s of the XVIII century, the monastery was involved in the process of developing the region. As a military outpost, the monastery had its own arsenal, which began to form in the second half of the 1660s to a greater extent with the help of state supplies. In addition, military property was replenished at the expense of contributions from the population of Western Siberia. Arsenal inventories reflect the trends in the proliferation of weapons in the region and the specifics of their use. The timely supply of artillery prevented the seizure and ruin of the monastery by the nomadic peoples of Western Siberia and turned it into a base for military campaigns in the region. The armament of the monastery loses its importance after the transfer of the fortified defensive line to the south in the 1730s.
