Association measures : comparison of performance across binary matrices
Abstract
[ACCESS RESTRICTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI AT REQUEST OF AUTHOR.] Investigation of the performance of Dice (1945) measure of association when applied to three dimensional data. Variance for the measure is developed and examined. Comparison of the measure to Cohen's K (1960) and Yule's Y and Q (1900) is made across differing numbers of observation and locations of observations to evaluate measure performance. Diffusion tensor track images are used to examine the utility of agreement measures when comparing images. Goodman and Kruskal (1954) is used to identify utility of a common agreement/association measure.
