Abstract
The technology progress of Industrie 4.0 enables the usage of components as information carriers and their deployment in cyber-physical production systems. In this contribution an approach for an integrated component data model for the value-added process of production is introduced. The Theta-approach describes the basis for the representation of components as cyber-physical objects. Furthermore, an exemplary application within cyber-physical production systems is described.
