This paper proposes an evaluation method of the eccentricity shape factor (Fe) of moment-resisting steel frames. The model is a singlestory building with uniaxial eccentricity, and the types of eccentricity are as follows: 1) model with unbalanced stiffness and shear strength, 2) model with unbalanced stiffness, 3) model with unbalanced shear strength, and 4) model with unbalanced mass. The evaluation method, based on shear strength and displacement with elastic-plastic deformation of the models, assessed the estimate determined by only eccentricity in the Building Standard Law. The results of the elastic-plastic 3D analysis show that the evaluation method of Fe appropriately represented the influence of eccentricity.
