Local climate model incorporated with the urban canopy model as the boundary conditions have been developed. In this paper, the model is coupled with the heat release model through air conditioning in order to evaluate heat transfer between the atmosphere and the building. Furthermore, the authors analyze the urban environment based on the new local climate model, and examine the effects of various countermeasures for urban heat island, the roof planting, high albedo roof coating, the high efficiency of air conditioning system and the 50% reduction of internal heat. As a result, it is clarified that these countermeasures have an effect on the temperature field of the pedestrian space near the ground. In particular, the roof planting has possibilities for the reduction of air temperature near the ground by 0.20-0.40℃ in the daytime.
