Abstrak

Karang Taruna is a youth social organization spread throughout Indonesia that focuses on the development of social welfare businesses, productive economic businesses and recreation, sports and the arts. Karang Taruna was formed because of the concern and responsibility of the youth in the area. Karang Taruna as a small organization has diverse characteristics in communication, cooperation and building a sense of cohesion among members.On the one hand, Karang Taruna must animate about group cohesiveness. Cohesiveness can be interpreted as the strength of the interaction of members of a group, cohesiveness is shown in the form of hospitality between group members, they will usually be happy to be together. Each member feels free to express his opinion or suggestion. Group members are usually enthusiastic about what they do and sacrifice their personal interests for the good of the group. The description of the condition of the Tunas Jaya Youth Organization in Mekar Jaya Village, Ciawigebang Kuningan, currently does not have a role and function as a community organization that exists in the village to assist development in the village. The existence of youth organizations must have a real role in the community of Mekar Jaya Village, Ciawi Gebang Kuningan, by building good organizational communication between the core management and fellow members. The presence of youth organizations in Mekar Jaya Village, Ciawi Gebang is expected to be able to help the problems that exist in the village so that it can help village programs and the local government to build a more prosperous, prosperous and prosperous community.On the other perspective, the presence of youth organizations in the community of Mekar Jaya Ciawi Gebang Village has shown its positive role, but it is not yet maximized. The core management of the youth organization has made improvements and changes to the structure in order to maximize the roles and functions of members to be more active and show good communication so that they can foster a sense of togetherness and cohesion among other members. With the above reasons, the researcher wants to measure the organizational communication climate built by the core management to foster a sense of cohesiveness among fellow youth members so that roles and functions in society are felt more real. This study has the following objectives: 1) to find out how the influence of organizational communication climate on Karang Taruna Tunas Jaya, 2) to find out how the influence of group cohesiveness on Karang Taruna Tunas Jaya, 3) to find out how much influence organizational communication climate has on group cohesiveness Karang Taruna Tunas Jaya. The research methodology used is descriptive quantitative with survey method. The population of this study amounted to 60 people using census sampling technique. The research data processing technique uses descriptive inferential statistics, namely the average score to calculate the value of the frequency distribution, while to calculate the correlation using Spearman rank correlation statistics, one-way hypothesis testing with t-test and determinant coefficients.The results of the research and discussion are: 1) the influence of organizational communication climate on Karang Taruna Tunas Jaya is classified as good, it is proven that the results show an average value of 47.3 where the value after entering the range of 40.8 - 50.4 so that it is declared good, 2) the effect of group cohesiveness on Karang Taruna Tunas Jaya is good where the results of the study show an average value of 63.51. This value is included in the interval table in the range of 54.4 - 67.2 so that it can be declared good, 3) the value of the influence of the organizational communication climate on group cohesiveness is 0.376 or 14.1% while the remaining 85.9% is influenced by other factors that are not discussed in this study. So the results of the research hypothesis are: Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a relationship between organizational communication climate and group cohesiveness at Karang Taruna Tunas Jaya, Mekar Jaya Village, Ciawi Gebang, with a significant relationship level. The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between organizational communication climate and group cohesiveness at the Tunas Jaya Youth Organization, Mekar Jaya Village, Ciawi Gebang Kuningan.
