Two spider species, Uloborus plumipes Lucas 1846 and Dipoena pelorosa Zhu 1998, have been newly recorded in Japan. Uloborus plumipes is widespread throughout the old world, but was not previously found in Japan. Dipoena pelorosa was found only in China.
