Calcifying epithelial odontogenic tumor of the mandible mistaken as an odontogenic cyst

Calcifying epithelial odontogenic tumor is a rare and benign epithelial odontogenic neoplasm, also called Pindborg tumor. We presented the case of a 41-year-old woman affected by a asymptomatic radiolucent lesion of mandibular angle, managed with a conservative treatment and only after histological result diagnosed like a calcifying epithelial odontogenic tumor. The aim of this article was to describe the management of a mandibular Calcifying epithelial odontogenic tumor mistaken as an odontogenic cyst with an impacted third molar.
