From the viewpoint of "improving quality of products" and decreasing of manufacturing cost", there were left still many things to be ameliorated.

2) Charging of scrap.
3) Control of fuel and combustion.
4) Technical improvement in open hearth furnace practice.
5) Technical improvement in casting practice.
6) Technical improvement in ingot making practice.
