With the development of CALS/EC, it is expected that next generation CALS should focuses on the improvement of whole lifecycle by using electronic information. At present, the construction process mainly depends on the blueprint and human-power. This is opposite to the promotion of IT application to construction engineering field. So it is important to improve the construction process by using IT technology, or IT construction.
Being a tool to improve the construction process, the concept of IT road working-form management is proposed in this paper. Moreover, the verified experiment was made in a road project. By comparing its effectiveness with the traditional working-form management method, it is very apparent that the new method can shorten the practical period greatly.
