Abstract

A természet- és a társadalomtudományokban követett logikákat illetően számos azonosságot, ún. logikai homológiát találhatunk. A komplex rendszerek egyik jellemzője, hogy rendelkezniük kell egy olyan, speciális, ellenálló és regenerációs képességgel, amellyel a rendszert ért külső sokkokkal szemben ellenállónak bizonyulnak. Ezt a rendszerképességet (az angol ’resilience’ szó alapján) rezilienciának nevezik. Az alábbi cikkben, amikor közös tulajdonságokat (pl. rezilienciát) keresünk két komplex, nem determinisztikus rendszer „viselkedésében”, akkor azt találjuk, hogy mind a gazdasági folyamatokban, azoknak a makro-színterein, mind pedig a sakkjátékban és sok népszerű labdajátékban fellelhetőek ún. sokk-felszívó és probléma-megoldó képességgel azonosítható rendszerattribútumok, amelyeket összefoglalóan rezilienciának nevezhetünk. Az írás egyben emléket kíván állítani Kállai Gábornak, a sakk Nemzetközi Nagymesterének, egyetemi kollégának, aki rendkívül sikeres erőfeszítéseket tett a sakkjáték, e nagyon erős magyar olimpiai hagyományokkal is rendelkező sportág hazai népszerűsítéséért. There are many logical similarities between natural and social sciences, which, can be called, by a common terminology, logical homologies. In this paper, we identify one such logical similarity: the resilience of the systems in two seemingly distant complex settings. Resilience is a key underlying attribute of all dynamic systems, that may be found in large complex arrangements of non-deterministic systems. Such a “resilient-system” behavior, as a common description can well fit both a modern macro-economy, and a game of a chess party, respectively. The sports analogy is based on the fact that in both settings, the shock-absorbing capacity and the problem-solving capabilities of the respective systemic mechanisms can be commonly considered. We find that both systems, namely the behavior of the macro-economy, subject to COVID-19 shocks, and the game of chess share the need for a large and measurable amount of resilience to withstand the repeated attacks levelled against them. The paper wishes to commemorate the exceptional contributions of the International Chess Grandmaster, Mr. Gábor Kállai (a university colleague) who has most successfully managed to increase the popularity of the game of chess in Hungary.
