A small, predacious tettigonioid species from Lan Yu Island, previously named Decolya kotoshoensis SHIRAKI, 1930, is re-examined and a similar new species, from Iriomote Island of the Ryukyu Islands, is described. Both are assigned to a new genus Neophisis : type species Teuthras arachnoides BOLIVAR, 1905=Neophisis (N.) arachnoides (BOLIVAR, 1905), comb, nov., and a new subgenus Indophisis : type species, Teuthras gracilipennis STAL, 1877=Neophisis (Indophisis) gracilipennis (STAL, 1877), comb. nov. The new species N. (I.) iriomotensis is compared with Phisis brevipennis KASTNER, 1933=Neophisis (Indophisis) brevipennis (KASTNER, 1933), comb. nov.
