Two new oribatid mites, Dolicheremaeus tamurai sp. nov. and Heterobelba stellifera formosana subsp. nov., were found from forest soil near Rushan Spa in Central Taiwan. D. tamurai is distinguishable from the other congeners by the widely separated lamellae and the characteristic insertion pores of interlamellar setae. H, stellifera formosana differs from the nominate subspecies in the longer notogastral setae on nymphal skin.
