This study aims to develop a future energy system using fuel cell, hydrogen and renewable energy in cold regions. We carried out experiments on characteristics of hydrogen storing alloys. First, we made three kinds of samples whose diameters are different, and carried out the experiments on the hydrogen absorption and desoprption. Secondly, we carried out numerical analyses on residential hydrogen energy systems. Thirdly, we selected predict method and analysed the amount of primary energy reduction when it used fuel cell combined heat and power systems. The results suggest that high energy saving effect can be achieved by this method.
