Abstract
Howard Thurman’s work on nature and community deserves greater attention as a powerful and inclusive ecotheology offering spiritual insight and inspiration for contemporary integral ecology. His writings highlight the power of nature to provide experiences of the Divine and the resulting sense of community that emerges out of such experiences. This community, says Thurman, must include not only all people but all the natural world.
