Abstract:
During six years, the yield and nutrients contents in nuts were recorded in two hazelnut orchards of Italy (Langhe, Piedmont). The data show that the fruit mineral composition differs between orchards and, years. As expected, the quantities of extracted nutrients were mainly nitrogen with values at 7.03 kg/ha/year (Montelupo, 2005) up to 31.44 kg/ha/year (Rodello, 2006) and iron from about 18.7 g/ha/year (Montelupo, 2003) to 142.3 g/ha/year (Rodello, 2006). These results can be very interesting to estimate the quantity of mineral fertilizers to supply yearly in hazelnut orchards under these conditions.
