| Abstract:
Regeneration of immature papaya embryos under in vitro condition was attempted in gynodioecious cvs. viz., Sunrise Solo and CO7 at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. The immature embryos regenerated and showed the highest germination per cent in full strength MS medium containing 6.0 mg L-1 BAP and 1.0 mg L-1 NAA. The highest shoot length was observed at 3.0 mg L-1 and maximum root initiation at 1.0 0 mg L-1 with 1/2 MS medium. | |
