Abstract:
A two-year trial on a chernozem soil was established at the the Rimski Šančevi Experimental Field of the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad in order to study the variability of yield and yield components in cabbage. Twelve divergent cabbage genotypes and a randomized block design with three replicates were evaluated. The following six traits were analyzed: head mass, usable portion of head, core length, head height, head diameter, and yield. Highly significant interactions were found in all of the traits except head height and diameter, indicating that these two are varietal traits and that growing conditions have little effect on their variability.
