Abstract:
Production of temperate-zone fruits in the tropics and subtropics is becoming more important as breeding and selection reduce the chilling requirements of these species and improve their quality. This symposium focuses on the genetic resources available to breeders, procedures for the collection, conservation, and propagation of germplasm, and strategies for breeding and progeny evaluation.
