Abstract:
The effect of surfactant treatment on the phenol content in apple leaves and fruit skins has been studied, as well as modifications during leaf and fruit development.
Surfactant treatments at high concentrations resulted in damage of the flower organs, leaves and fruits.
Histochemical and analytical studies showed an accumulation of flavan-3-ols and chlorogenic acid in treated leaves and fruits as compared to untreated ones.
