| Abstract:
California almond growers have used an intensive insecticide spray program for many years. In the past five years there has been a transition from heavy spraying toward a more integrated approach to pest control. These changes include the introduction of parasites both to supplement the native population and as inundative releases, the use of covercrops as insectaries for beneficials, orchard sanitation, and the use of Bacilus thuringiensis (Bt) for control of Peach Twig Borer (Anarsia lineatella). | |
